Why Rockleaze
We have lived with the decisions we made.
Rockleaze began in 2019 with our own Louisville properties. We put our own money behind the plans, worked through the constraints of existing homes and learned what happens after the photographs are taken.
We have lived in several of the homes we renovated and retained others. That gave us time to notice what a reveal cannot show: whether a layout works when everyone is home, whether storage is in the right place and whether materials still feel like good decisions years later.
We have made mistakes, corrected them and learned from them. That practical experience now shapes the way we guide other homeowners.

Joe turns the agreed direction into a buildable, priced project. He coordinates planning, purchasing, scheduling, trades and the everyday communication that keeps the renovation moving.
Victoria Sanders · Design and finishes
Vic helps shape the layout, feeling and material direction of the space. She brings the options into focus so clients can make confident decisions without being handed an endless catalogue.
What guides the work
Beautiful spaces that earn their place in the house.
Function before theatre. We think about movement, storage, lighting, outlets, maintenance and the ordinary routines that determine whether a room is genuinely useful.
Choices with context. We present a manageable set of options and explain the differences in budget, longevity and effect rather than pushing the most expensive answer.
Ideas can begin anywhere. A napkin sketch, a saved photograph or an AI-generated image can all start a useful conversation. Our job is to test the idea against the home and make it buildable.
Communication without intimidation. You do not need construction vocabulary to ask a question, dislike an idea or reconsider a decision.
